Wow!! I felt this article viscerally! I also recently went on HRT (gel as well) and felt the brain fog lift. I wish society would talk about perimenopause more and not simply label some middle-aged woman as 'psychos'.  Fortunately I have a supportive husband who cuddled me and supported my choice to start HRT.

@laura__palmer Hey ya, OP Boymumma here!!  Thank you for your question.  I am indeed proud of being a Boy Mum.  I have 3 divine sons and yep, no daughters; if I had of had any daughters then I would've been supremely proud of them too. 
 I am a proud Boy Mum, not because of my children's genitalia but because they are good people!  My 3 sons are all kind, considerate and well behaved.  At the ages of 7, 11 and 14 they all self-identify as cis-male.   So there it is, I am a proud #boymum and yes it is now part of my identity.
