The Spanian video is not entirely accurate. He cited that town camps are racially targeted to be excluded from buying alcohol. This is not the case. The alcohol restrictions are something Indigenous controlled organisations have endorsed within these living spaces.  He also broke the law by buying it and supplying it to them! As a number of my family members appear in the video, I can vouch (from their testimony) much of the 'performance' was triggered by Spanian's presence.  That's not to say these things don't happen but the level of it was exacerbated, people knowing their activity would be featured.  My family were frustrated by the hyped violence that night and the banter of everyone trying to be filmed. Yet the truth is, we are a damaged, hurting community, though.
