Gilmore Girls, it's been too long. Where are they now?

Lorelai and Rory lived the perfect life in a sleepy small town called Stars Hollow…

Before I was a mother myself, I desperately wanted to be a cool mum, just like Lorelai Gilmore.

Gilmore Girls hit our TV screens in 2000 and became an instant hit. It is now considered a cult classic and talk of a reunion persists by fans desperate to witness the next phase of the life of Lorelai Gilmore, her daughter Rory and that crazy cast of characters in their home town of Stars Hollow.

What made the show so magical wasn’t the small town, although that helped, nor was it the many love stories, although they helped too. What made this show truly magical was the incredibly close bond between a very young single mother and her gifted daughter.

Let’s revisit the world of the Gilmore Girls and track down the amazing cast. Where are they now?

Rory gets into an exclusive private school.
Her parents have conditions.
Friday night dinners are born.
Rory graduates from Yale.
It was true love for only one of these couples.
Lorelai falls for Rory's teacher.
They get engaged and start planning a future together.
Lorelai and Rory's dad, it's complicated.
Coffee and flirting.
Luke is always the 'other man'.
The whole town is affected by their relationship.
It's very weird to see them together, but right.
Luke and Lorelai are already best friends, so they fall in love quickly.
He does his best to fit in.
Lorelai proposes, and Luke says yes.
Lorelai and Luke have so much to overcome.
Luke is shocked to find out he has a daughter.
It all gets too hard.
And then there's Christopher.
They get married in Paris.
Deep down he knows he is her second choice.
There was only one way this series could have ended.
Her first boyfriend is the perfect Dean.
They are sweet and innocent and perfect.
It turns out he's a little too nice.
Her first break up is hard to take.
He breaks up with his wife to be with Rory.
Rory's first sexual encounter is adulterous.
Jess returns. but Rory is with Dean again.
Dean dumps Rory again.
Rory discovers passion.
At first, they don't do a lot of talking.
There is a lot of kissing.
Sometimes they don't kiss.
And then...
A breather...
After they split, they reconnect, but Rory is with Logan.
He seems perfect, except...
Logan charms them all.
Oh dear, two roosters in the hen house.
Logan asks Lorelai for Rory's hand in marriage.
Rory breaks up with Logan.
Lorelai is played by Lauren Graham.
She moved on to TV show Parenthood.
And now she is dating her brother.
Before Sookie Stackhouse, there was Sookie St. James.
There was a short stint on her own sitcom.
Not much happened for her until the movie Bridesmaids.
Her real-life husband also starred in the movie.
Since then it's been hit...
After hit...
After hit.
Alexis Bledel as Rory.
A string of mediocre movies.
Then a star turn on Mad Men.
It was love on the set of Mad Men.
She was a hot tip to star in 50 Shades of Grey.
But that ended up going to Dakota Johnson.
Luke was played by Scott Patterson.
He used to be a professional baseball pitcher.
In Saw V.
Max Medina was played by Scott Cohen.
Cohen in the movie Loveless.
Dean is played by Jared Padalecki.
He moved on to sci-fi series Supernatural.
David Sutcliffe played Rory's dad.
On Private Practice.
Troubled Jess played by Milo Anthony Ventimiglia.
He got to play a superhero.
He'll soon appear in new series The Whisperers.
Matt Czuchry played trust fund baby Logan.
He is brilliant as Cary on The Good Wife.
Posh parents Emily and Richard Gilmore.
Before she was a Gilmore, she was a proud mum.
Bishop in Bunheads.
He appeared in Grey's Anatomy.
On How I Met Your Mother.
Lane and Rory, friends forever.
She played a doctor in House.
Rory becomes frenemies with Paris.
She played a cancer patient on Grey's Anatomy.
Town mayor Taylor Doose.
Winters in The Tempest.
Christiane Amanpour, playing herself.
The Bangles played themselves in one episode.
There is still talk of a reunion.
