A Block contestant sparks a war of words aimed at one of the judges.

As finals week draws closer, tension on The Block is at an all time high.

Pressure over the judging of next week’s ensuite challenge has caused a war of words between The Block contestant Dee, and judge, Shaynna Blaze. All of the couples on the show seem to have a problem with the way the Selling Houses Australia co-host judged the ensuites, believing she had been inconsistent.

Yet mum-of-two, Dee, seemed the most angered and has been filmed saying, “She’s a bogan from (Melbourne suburb) Wantirna who’s got no f***ing idea and I will out style you any day.” Dee continues to say, “[Shaynna] will want to keep away from me at the wrap party if she shows up.”

A production source told News.com that Dee also used the word c***, but it was edited out for the episode, which will go to air this week.

When the outrage had worn off, Dee more calmly said, “We’ve had nothing less than an eight and I think our average score is a nine.”

“In the context of that day, not having slept for 36 hours … you get tired and say things perhaps you shouldn’t in those circumstances. It happens every season, that’s the nature of The Block and Shaynna understands that and knows I have nothing but respect for her,” Dee went on to say.

In response to Dee’s comment, Shaynna said, “It’s no surprise to hear such comments when contestants lose, but it’s interesting that they don’t have these opinions when they win. I don’t have a problem with any of the contestants. Everything needs to be seen in perspective.”

Dee believed the judging was unfair as Shaynna was said to have marked down their ensuite for a lack of storage space, which caused her and partner Darren to lose the challenge.

Dee argued this was inconsistent as all couples source their drawers from the same plumbing supplier and were all the same size, with the exception of Max and Karstan, who had slightly larger drawers.

Dee explains she has been made out as this year’s “villain” which is part of the show’s “formula”. “The assertive women on the show, who stand up and speak up get crucified a little bit and I knew that would happen,” Dee said.
