'It's just magical.' The 10 makeup hacks from TikTok the Mamamia Team swear by.

The world has come far in the realm of beauty and nowadays it seems there's a trick or tip for the way we do every aspect of our makeup.

Whether it's an application technique that promises invisible pores or a magical product that removes lines and spots while still looking natural, we promise you there's a hack for... everything.

Understandably, it can get a bit exhausting when we are bombarded with new and conflicting information that also claims to be the "only right way" to apply makeup.

We get it. We really do.

That's why we've compiled a list of the 10 makeup hacks that came from TikTok. They're not just any random old hack — they're recommended by the Mamamia team who have tried and tested it for themselves.

It's backbreaking work, but someone's got to do it.

Below are 10 TikTok makeup hacks that have undoubtedly changed the beauty world for the better.

Pink eyeshadow for your under-eyes.

Remember when the Ben Nye Banana Powder was selling out everywhere because girls wanted to have literal yellow under eyes? For some of us, our skin does in fact have warm undertones (where our skin looks golden). But there are also those of us who have cool or neutral undertones — meaning we shouldn't have all been buying yellow powder for our faces.

Nonetheless, there's a new trend that's come around and it's the pink under-eye. Those who can nail the look successfully look like they have a blushy complexion.

An alternative to way to nail a pink under eye, we recommend either mixing in your favourite cream blush (here are some of mine) with a concealer lighter than your skin tone.

OR, you could set your actual concealer under the eyes with a bright pink powder that is close to your skin tone like this single shade eyeshadow by Mecca Max in the colour 'Salty' (perfect for those with tan skin).

The perfect mascara hack for your short bottom lashes.

This probably doesn't make sense, but stay with us.

You know how our bottom lashes are usually pretty sparse and short? Well, it turns out you can get a doll-like effect on your eyes with just a pair of tweezers and your favourite waterproof mascara.

What you do is dip the end of your tweezers in the mascara product. Slowly (very slowly), you pinch your eyelashes with the tweezers so it pulls the lashes together and creates a longer lash.

This hack definitely isn't for everyone and you might end up without any eyelashes by the end of this experiment, but practice DOES make perfect.

We promise.

Contouring your nose 'properly'.

Simply take the brush you used to buff out your cheek bronzer and contour and pinch the ends of the bristles so it thins out into a fan. Then, take your nose contour shade of choice and carve a line on either side of your nose.

This hack might take a little time to nail, but if you are someone who likes a natural (but still visible) bronze and contour on your nose, then this will save you time (and money from buying a tiny brush!).

Powder before foundation.

If you're an oily or sweaty gal, then applying powder to your face before foundation can change the game for your base.

From my personal experience, taking a fluffy brush and dusting your favourite setting powder over your face will completely change how your foundation will look in the end.

Next, apply your favourite foundation. Don't feel pressured to use more of your foundation.

If all goes well, you should look like a perfectly matte goddess.

Apply all your cream makeup at once.

Have you ever just wanted to cause utter chaos in your life? Or change it up by breaking all the rules?

Welp, that's exactly what happened to me and that's exactly why I convinced myself I could apply a face full of cream products and then go on about my day as normal.

Ahem. This 'hack' is not for the faint of heart. Your makeup could look glass-like and almost ethereal... or like you have just dived headfirst into a swamp.

Blend, blend, blend friends! And then when you think you're done blending?

Blend some more.

After that, you can heavily set your face with powder.

Lift the cheekbones with eyeshadow.

Elevate your makeup by becoming a master of simple things... like eyeshadow.

As Painted By Spencer puts it, if you want to make your makeup brighter, a touch cleaner and a little more polished then you'll need an eyeshadow that is a few shades lighter than you and an eyeliner (or eyebrow brush).

Then carefully place your brush at the corner of your outer eye and follow it to the highest point of your ear (don't draw the line to that point but follow that guide so your eyes look more lifted). Softly blend out the line, add some pressed powder so it looks more natural and then bask in your injection-free facelift.

Spencer explains it even better in this clip:

While you 'bake' your under-eyes, apply blush.

The best way to create a flawless base is by taking away harsh lines.

Basically, whilst we're waiting for our eyes to "bake", we should be applying our blush to the apples of the cheeks in a circular motion. It removes the harshness of a powdered line and a too-pink cheek. The Neopolitan makeup look is no more!

The best face-setting technique is a triangular puff.

If you've been setting your face with a sponge or powder brush, stop. Immediately.

Triangle Powder Puffs (I use the ones by Glam Raider) are the best beauty tool on the market right now. It literally gives you a flawless application, minimal shine and an airbrushed finish. Instead of baking, lightly set your face with a pressed powder (in your shade) then go in and bake with your powder puff.

The results are insane. See for yourself:

Use a powder brush to apply liquid blush.

There's something about a natural-bristled powder brush that makes us feel so luxe when we're using it... but have you ever tried it to apply a liquid blush?

I began doing this myself when I realised I was accidentally setting my face with powder and forgetting to apply the liquid blush on my skin beforehand (rookie mistake).

By putting the liquid blush on the back of your hand and using a natural-bristled brush to apply it onto the cheek, you've basically made it so you'll never need a powder blush again!

Although it does make the point of liquid blush a little...nonsensical.

Primer can be kind of useless but setting spray never is.

Primer is a contentious topic. While some beauty gurus would have you believe it's a step in the makeup routine that can't be skipped, others are of the firm belief it's unnecessary.

However, we're all pretty convinced setting spray is possibly the most important thing for mankind (one of the best on the market is the One/Size On Til Dawn Setting Spray. It was created by YouTuber and beauty guru Patrick Star).

The best way to use it, according to the experts, is by spraying your favourite setting spray on top of your makeup and then pressing it in with a beauty blender.

The results are just magical.
