A list of the top 10 Aussie influencers has been released and we have... questions.

Pop culture queens – it's here.

The List.

Which list? You know... THE List... The 'most influential social media moguls' from Down Under list.

Okay, alright, so you might not have heard of this particular list before, but it's about to be a big old blip on your radar because it ranks the most powerful social media influencers of 2023.

The list was published by Media Week and we must tell you, the results brought up mixed emotions.

When we think of the Aussies with the most social media influence, a few key characters come to mind. Hamish Blake, for instance, or his ridiculously successful and iconic wife, Zoe Foster-Blake.

(Spoiler alert: they didn't even make the top 10.)

Watch Celeste Barber get crafty in the kitchen. Post continues after video.

To better understand the list, you must first understand the rules – and yes, there are rules, because not just anyone can be considered for this holiest of social media rankings.

To be considered for this particular ranking, you have to be an Australian, with a 'creator' or 'business' profile and have at least 400K followers – and at least 30 per cent of those followers need to be Australian.

So without further ado, here are the Australian influencers who apparently wield the greatest social media power.

10. Kayla Itsines.

With more than 44.9 million followers on Instagram and a reach of 939.1K, Itsines is a very well-known name, but for those who aren't already signed up to her workouts, here's a refresher:

Kayla is one of the biggest fitness girlies around – she is a personal trainer, author and entrepreneur.

Probably best known for her workout app, Sweat with Kayla, the fitness guru is coming hot at number 10.

9. Loserfruit

Coming in at number nine we have Loserfruit, a streamer on the gaming live-streaming site Twitch. With more than 8.9 million followers and 1.3 million in reach, she's clearly got some pull.

Loserfruit is known as both a content creator and streamer, best known for playing games like Fortnite, Among Us and Valorant. And our initial thoughts on this one are... none really, considering we didn't know she existed until five minutes ago.

8. Lauren Curtis

Lauren Curtis is one of the original social media gals, emerging on the scene in 2011 back when we weren't sure what an influencer even was. Lauren gained most of her following from her YouTube days, where she mainly posted beauty and fashion content.

7. Delta Goodrem

Okay, so 'influencer' isn't exactly the word that comes up when we think of Delta (try world-renowned singer with the voice of an ANGEL), but we'll stick back this one because, Delta.

Delta basically wrote the soundtrack for our childhood. She is an icon for all Aussies, having overcome more than one health battle, and championing beauty campaigns that feel progressive and inclusive, she deserves a spot at the top.

Also, that iconic moment she performed alongside Robbie Williams at 2022's AFL grand final. We cannae.

6. Glenn Maxwell

Okay, we have to admit, we're not the demographic here, so no questions asked.

Glenn has more than 11.4 million followers, so he's clearly doing something right!

5. The Norris Nuts

The Norris Nuts is a family and in case you weren't aware of them, it's made up of mum Brooke and dad Justin, as well as their four kids. The family are always sharing content around family life and can often be seen pulling pranks on each other.

The family has 4.6 million followers and a reach of 1.7 million, demonstrating that you can be influential at any age.

4. Celeste Barber

From humble beginnings, Celeste is one of Australia's most loved comedians, so it's only fitting she is in the top four – especially considering that she used social media to launch herself into the mainstream media and her Instagram account has been the backbone of her career.

Famous for her hilarious, satirical recreations of celebrity bikini pics, she shot to fame almost instantly.

With more than 14.4 million followers and a 3.3 million reach, Celeste is kicking goals. The comedian has most recently starred in a new Netflix show Wellmania, and took a spot in Time magazine's list of most influential people of 2023.

3. Robert Irwin

Crikey! The Irwins have still got it and Robert is following in his father, Steve Irwin's footsteps.

Robert has more than 9.4 million followers and shares all kinds of croc and reptile content online to educate the public about animal safety.

We're happy to see he's doing well.

2. Lazar Beam

Another gamer, Lannan Neville Eascott – better known as LazarBeam – is both a YouTube sensation and a professional gamer. Well known for his Fortnite videos, the YouTuber has more than 15 million followers, with a reach of 6.2 million.

Note to self: might be time to jump on this whole gamer thing as clearly, they've got some pulling power out there in social land.

1. Hugh Jackman

We are both surprised and stoked for Hugh coming in at first place. He's clearly an Aussie icon, but he also has an 80 million-strong social media following, so it makes sense that Our Guy Hugh is atop the list.

Australia's top influencer? Yes. Australia's top zaddy? Mmm, quite possibly.

Let's have a big round of applause for social media's greatest showman.

You may have noticed there are some names missing, like Tammy Hembrow, who came in 14th place.

Also clearly missing were the Inspired Unemployed – and considering they have launched an empire and a million-dollar bear company, we were kind of surprised not to see these guys on the list.

And what about our queen Kylie Minogue... or A-lister Chris Hemsworth?

ANYway... At the end of the day, these 10 individuals have proven themselves to be hugely successful, making them the top 10 most powerful Aussies on the internet.
