Packing beauty orders and a parenting podcast: A day in the life of Tegan Natoli.

My day usually starts with a "mum alarm clock"... aka, at least one of my three children sneaking into my bed at around 6am to wake me so their breakfast cafe will open – obviously, I am the cafe. 

By 7am, I have hustled all three children to the kitchen bench for breakfast. Once they’ve got some food in their bellies, long enough to keep them quiet, I become my own cafe, putting my NESCAFÉ Dolce Gusto Genio S Touch Automatic Coffee machine to work for my morning coffee. It is the only thing that gets me out of my morning slump in the mornings and the best part, it is so easy to use.

For me personally, my preferred size varies depending on the quality of sleep I got the night before, but I love knowing I have so many options. 

Speaking of the next hour and a half… let me tell you it’s like herding cattle. 

Between reminding my twin girls who are in kindergarten that they can’t wear their pajamas to school, and dressing my four-year-old, who insists he doesn’t know how to do it himself (he totally does). Not to mention all the teeth brushing, lunch making, hair doing and bag packing before we head out the door... it is madness! 

My son Banjo rides the "Daddy Uber" (my husband takes him) to daycare. And, then I head to school drop off with the twins at around 8:30am. Is it 5pm yet? Nope, strap in: we're just getting started!

I then head straight to the Mamamia office to record This Glorious Mess podcast which is a hoot, because my co-host Leigh Campbell, is also my bestie and Brillo Beauty business partner. 

From there, I head to the Brillo Beauty warehouse where I help with packing orders and any admin that needs doing.

People are often shocked when they hear that Leigh and I do a lot of packing orders. Bizarrely, we both enjoy and find it very therapeutic. We love being hands on and it’s a great way to stay across the business.

Once all that is done, I also check in with my amazing staff and management at Bump Day Spa and tend to any tasks there. And, if I get the chance, I’ll tackle some life admin like grocery orders, appointments, paying bills, reply to emails and kids school stuff. 

I'm sure all parents would feel the same – being a parent feels like a full-time job in itself. 

In my opinion, school days are too short. Since the twins started big school this year, I feel like I’ve got twice the workload and half the time. 

Before school pickup, I need my second coffee of the day – it is essential.

While my girls are in ballet, I either get some work done from the car or quickly duck to the shops to grab anything we need for dinner. 

My husband usually brings my sweet Banjo home from daycare and after ballet, I head home with the girls. My husband and I usually take turns when it comes to who cooks dinner and most nights (like tonight), my kids never eat. 

After I bath the kids and get them in their pajamas and they're finally in bed, my husband and I crawl into bed around 8pm absolutely pooped, and watch some mind-numbing reality like MAFS... well, I watched it while my husband falls asleep!

And then, it's lights off and we hopefully have an uninterrupted sleep with no little visitors throughout the night!
