"The best thing I've ever discovered": Everything Delta Goodrem puts on her face.

What I Put On My Face is Mamamia’s celebrity beauty series that takes you inside the beauty cabinets of some of Australia’s most influential people. From what skincare products they use to their go-to makeup tips, it’s a pervy look at exactly what they put on their face. And body. And hair. You get the idea.

This week, we speak to Delta Goodrem about the beauty products she reaches for and the hair tool she raves about. Enjoy!

Delta Goodrem is an Australian icon; no doubt about it.

For the past few months, the singer has been touring the UK promoting her seventh studio album Bridge Over Troubled Dreams, but recently returned home to Sydney to join Andrea Bocelli on his Australian tour, and launch her fourth fragrance, Power.

We nabbed Goodrem in between her hectic schedule to hear all about her approach to beauty and everything she puts on her face. Here's what she told us.

Delta Goodrem's approach to beauty.

Goodrem has been getting her hair and makeup done professionally for decades (remember her first TV role as Nina Tucker on Neighbours?), and says her approach to beauty has nothing to do with the products on her skin.

"I would describe my approach as going with where I am in that moment," she told Mamamia.

"Being never stuck in one way... I know things that I feel are a part of me when it comes to beauty, but I also [believe that] it's about being authentically yourself."

Although her approach to beauty is all about what's on the inside, she does use a few products - starting with skincare.

Goodrem travels A LOT: after her stint in the UK, she'll be jetting-off again in the new year. She says her busy lifestyle can sometimes mess with her skin.

"My body responds to how I feel on the inside with everything - it will decide to play up if I'm stressed," she said. "But I do work hard and try to have a routine."

When the musician's in Sydney, she visits celebrity facialist Ingrid Seaburn, who introduced her to "all the different serums".

"[They] have been so positive on my skin."

Her favourite is the Ingrid Seaburn Hydrate Hyaluronic Acid Gel Based Hydrator, $70, because "I drink way too much coffee".

"But also, I try to keep it simple with my cleansers - the Ella Baché Moisture-Rich Cleansing Milk, $72, is my favourite thing in the world."

"That's been a staple since I was a 12-year-old, my mum introduced it to me," she added.

Goodrem also loves the Aduro Australia Personal Led Mask, $529.

"The little lights! I do that whenever I see it," she laughed. "I don't have a formulated life or structure."

Delta's everyday makeup routine.

Given the amount of time the entertainer spends in a makeup chair, it's no surprise that she prefers a less-is-more approach when she does her own.

"[My makeup is] definitely very simple when I'm not working," she told us.

"I keep it incredibly minimal and I actually like that! I didn't in my 20s, but in my 30s, I've really loved and embraced the makeup days off."

Goodrem has been working with the same makeup artist, Noni Smith, since she was a teenager, and there's one makeup brand they always use: Revlon.

"I have the entire range... the brow products, the blushes, the lipsticks, the contour palette," the Australian ambassador for the brand said.

"That's basically my entire kit, all Revlon."

To take it off, she "always" reaches for another Ella Bache favourite: their Floral Oil Face And Body Cleansing Oil, $77.

"Ella Bache has been my long, long, long-term [favourite]," she said.

"The best thing I've ever discovered is my Beachwaver S1 Rose Gold, $213, that one's been life saving on the road," Goodrem said about her go-to hair tool.

She also uses the Mermade Pro Hair Waver, $109, and the Dyson Supersonic HD07 Iron, $599.

The singer admitted how she regularly washes her hair as she "cannot stand turning up if my hair doesn't feel completely clean."

"I don't like too much product in my hair," she added.

Before an event, she'll always have a long shower and give her hair a thorough wash.

She reaches for her favourite combo, the Olaplex No.4 Bond Maintenance Shampoo, $54, and No.5 Bond Maintenance Conditioner, $54.

"It's been really great on my hair. I feel that it really strengthens [it]," she said.

"So has the Goldwell Kerasilk Reconstruct Intensive Repair Mask, $44.95."

Goodrem's Sydney home , where she lives with her partner, musician Matthew Copley, is also filled with Aesop products.

"We're pretty dedicated to it," she said about the aesthetically pleasing, sustainable brand.

"I don't go for a particular [scent] with the hand or body washes, we just rotate," she added.

Delta's go-to fragrance.

Scents are a big thing for Goodrem: "I need candles on and I also have a fireplace right above my TV [which] I put on sunshine, daytime or nighttime."

"Vibe is everything," she said. "To me, home has to be a great energy source and environment."

Adding to her line-up of perfumes, the singer is launching her fourth fragrance, Power, $59.99, inspired by her song 'The Power'.

"[The fragrance is called] Power but what is important is I don't want it to overpower the person when it's on. I want it to empower the person," Goodrem explained.

"I want it to be something that gives you the feeling of 'you're wearing the outfit, the outfit isn't wearing you'."

It's also different to her previous scents, featuring her favourite notes of vanilla musk and cedarwood, as well as waterlily and jasmine.

And in case you're wondering, she's not one of those celebrities who doesn't wear her own scents - oh no.

"I have all my fragrances in the guest bathroom," she told us proudly. "I have them all in order."
