The $30 product Delta Goodrem keeps in her bag for healthy, glowing skin.

If there's one thing we love to do on the You Beauty podcast, it's have a poke around celebrity beauty bags. It's our favourite. It's fun! Exciting! Really bloody nosy!

So when the lovely Delta Goodrem popped by the studio to have a chinwag with our very own Lucy Neville, we knew we were in for a good time — because our friend Delta knows a thing or two about beauty. After all, she's been getting her hair and makeup done professionally for decades (remember her first TV role as Nina Tucker on Neighbours?).

Given the amount of time the entertainer spends in a makeup chair, it's no surprise that she prefers a less-is-more approach when she does her own.

However, there's one product she always keeps on hand for when her skin is in need of a bit of a pick-me-up.

The best part? It's under $30. (In fact, at the time of writing, it's on sale for $17). You can also pick it up in your grocery store or at the chemist.

Any guesses?

It's Revlon Skinlights™ Face Glow Illuminator in Sunrise Luster.

Heard of it? Course you have! It's a classic that's been around for decades. (It's kind of like the original glow drops!)

Delta said, "I mean I'm not averse to Charlotte's Tilbury's Beauty Light Wands," she said of the popular highlighter. "They're beautiful."

The only drawback? The Charlotte Tilbury formula is on the spendy side, and can set you back $60 a pop.

For Delta's everyday option, however, the singer said the iconic Revlon Skinlights™ formula is the savey alternative that's always in her bag.

"I use it as a highlighter and I also put it a little bit in my eyes around the corners. I just really love it. It's beautiful," she said.

"It's very easy to put in your bag. So, if you need a bit of a pick-me-up when you feel a little tired and just want to add a bit of shine and sparkle [to your makeup look] — this is great. When I've been working too hard and my skin gets a little dull, I use it as a little bit of something to pick myself up."

For the uninitiated, Revlon Skinlights is a liquid formula that can be used to instantly illuminate skin with a silky, glowing finish, from top to toe.

While you can wear it alone as a primer or mixed in with your foundation, Delta shared that she also likes to mix it in with her moisturiser for a subtle 'lit-from-within' glow.

And look — as someone who has tried Skinlights before, I can back the hype around it. It's good stuff, and one of those multi-purpose formulas that's foolproof and easy to use (I like to apply it on my decolletage and down my shin bones!), and a great way to make your skin look glowing, fresh and healthy.

Also on Delta's list? The cult classic Elizabeth Arden Eight Hour Cream Skin Protectant Original, $33, which she describes as "so simple yet so iconic".

What can we say? The girl has good taste!

"I use it on anything," she added. "Sometimes if I've just been travelling a lot and I'm really dehydrated I use a little bit of this and feel like it just soaks into my skin."
