A Sydney judge has criticised a female defendant’s choice to wear cut off denim shorts in court.
Sutherland Local Court Magistrate Jayeann Carney asked Barbara Diana Vasconcello Cardenas, 37, if she had a jumper to tie around her waist to cover herself up after the Chilean woman appeared before her for drink-driving charges on Wednesday wearing frayed denim shorts.
The right to bare legs has been cut off by a Sydney magistrate after a woman charged with driving at more than double the legal blood alcohol limit appeared in court wearing cutoff denim shorts that left little to the imagination. Via @ElizaJBarr https://t.co/35aEn0q7dk

She wasn’t a frayed of that judge.
The younger generation have no idea of what respectable and suitable court attire is.
It seems like this girl was blissfully ignorant and wore something that she saw as appropriate and had no idea there was anything wrong with.
Disgraceful!
Good on the magistrate for reprimanding her!
The older generation have no idea of what respectable and suitable court attire is. Why would they sell this in the court section of the clothing store. Despicable. Good thing they won't be around too much longer to keep making these mistakes.
She's 37. That's outside even the earliest Millenials. She's far from a 'girl'
