Wait, what's going on with Justin and Hailey Bieber?

Something is going on with Justin and Hailey Bieber, and we know this because of... her dad.

This week, Stephen Baldwin strangely shared an Instagram post asking the public for prayers for his daughter and her husband that was originally written by the couple's pastor.

"I seldom like to post about certain folks in the limelight because of the negative comments we get," he wrote alongside a video of Bieber singing a Hillsong worship song.

Marx said that his wife, Eileen Marx, and Hailey's mum, Kennya Baldwin, "often pray together" for the young couple.

"There are special challenges that folks in high-visibility positions face and also the enemy doesn't want them to draw closer to Jesus. So often regardless of the material things or the accolades they often face spiritual warfare that intense and seeks to ship-wreck their faith, marriage and life in general. So thank you."

Fans became concerned after Baldwin shared this post on his Story, seemingly out-of-the-blue, offering no further information or context about what prompted it.

Now TMZ have reported that while his intentions may have been good, Hailey is mad at her dad for drawing attention to them while 'something specific' is going on in her relationship.

It did not share what the issue is.

Although the Biebers have dealt with a lot of speculation and rumours since their marriage in 2018, there had not been any recent whispers about their relationship — which is what made the pastor and Baldwin's post all the more confusing.

Each of them have been open about the challenges they have faced as a married couple. In November 2021, Hailey said she once considered ending the marriage when Justin was going through a rough time.

"I remember I called [my mom] a few different times, one particular time [when] we were in Brooklyn and I was calling her, crying, and I was like, 'I just can't do it,'" she said in an episode of the In Good Faith With Chelsea & Judah Smith podcast. "But I also just think I was in it. I made a decision. I know for a fact that I've loved this person for a very long time and now would not be the time to give up on him. I just wouldn't do that to him."

Paparazzi captured the couple leaving their church in Los Angeles on February 28, but their most recent public appearance was at the Super Bowl on February 11.
