A recap of Kylie Jenner's very strange yet decadent day in the life video.

Another day, another rogue Kardashian TikTok

This time our poster (culprit) is the youngest of the Kardashian/Jenner clan— Kylie Jenner

Kylie posted a 59-second "day in the life" video on TikTok. The "day in the life" trend has been popular for a few years now with people posting very short clips showcasing everything they do within a day, pretending that their lives are more interesting than what they actually are.

And you know what? It works. I watch every single "day in the life" video that comes across my social media feed, whether or not I know the person. It's such a pervy insight into not only what people do with their days, but also what they think is worthy enough to film and post on the internet.

Similarly, many people were interested in Kylie's "day in the life", with her video being viewed over three million times.

If you haven’t watched it, you don’t need to because I’m about to (attempt to) recap everything that happened.

I want to start this off by saying what Kylie achieves in a day is more than what I have achieved so far in my entire life.

It's a rollercoaster of scenes so hold on.

Listen to The Spill hosts discuss the most bizarre moment from Kylie Jener's new video.

The TikTok starts with her downing a coffee in bed like a champion. I immediately got flashbacks to my 19-year-old self taking vodka shots for the first (and last) time.

What's concerning about this clip is that she's drinking from a single-use coffee cup. Yes, it's horrible for the environment but compared to the rest of the video I think this is the least impactful thing she's doing to our planet.

What's weird about the single-use coffee cup was that she didn't show where the coffee came from. If I'm watching a Kylie Jenner "day in the life" I want to know exactly where she gets her coffee from.

Luckily, I've done an investigation.

In November 2023, Kylie was interviewed by Jennifer Lawrence for Interview magazine and J-law managed to get the coffee truth out of her:

"Lawrence: How do you get your coffee?
Jenner: I love these questions. I get my coffee from Kings Road Café.
Lawrence: You walk to Kings Road?
Jenner: No, no, no. Of course not.
Lawrence: So it’s waiting in your kitchen? Or it’s waiting outside your bedroom door.
Jenner: It’s waiting in my kitchen."

Coffee waiting for you in the kitchen. Must be nice.

Now I don't know about you, but I would love to see a "day in the life" of Kylie Jenner's assistant. I'm assuming it would be like a sped-up, chaotic, and brutal behind-the-scenes version of Kylie's TikTok.

I would like to disclose that at this point in the video, there's no background music or voiceover so I'm thinking she was going for the 'artistic-silent-film' look.

Make sure your volume is low when you watch this because just when you think you're safe, the video cuts to a clip of her working out in what I'm assuming is her at-home gym. Yet there's no music blasting in the background and not a single bead of sweat in sight.

She then appears in the shower in what looks like a Garnier commercial.

Finally, at the 19-second mark, we have a product placement. She wasn’t Forbes magazine's most controversial youngest self-made billionaire for a hot minute for nothing.

She shows her Kylie Skin vanilla body lotion before she gets into one of her very fancy cars. I can’t tell what car it is but I know it’s really expensive because of all the buttons in the interior.

You know what they say: The bigger the buttons, the better the car?

She’s now at a photo shoot and we hear her speak for the first time saying “She’s here!” to seemingly no one.

When she says she's here but won't tell us where 😭

Because this is still a silent film, we aren't told what the photoshoot is about but there’s no time anyway because she’s now boarding a private jet and her sister Kendall Jenner is also there.

The private jet is double the size of my entire apartment.

Just a last-minute cross-country dinner 🥰

I'm surprised Kylie posted clips in her jet after the extreme backlash she faced in 2022 when she posted a now-deleted photo to Instagram with Travis Scott showing both of their private jets in the background.

The caption read "You wanna take mine or yours?"

But that was two years ago so surely the carbon emissions aren't there anymore? (I say as I sadly sip my drink through my flaccid paper straw).

Now here’s where it gets tricky to follow— mainly because I don’t think my brain can comprehend the amount of wealth it’s witnessing.

We see them taking shots at what I thought was a very cool-looking bar but when I rewatched the clip, I realised they were definitely still in the very large private plane. My brain didn’t understand how big that plane was the first time and I apologise for my poor-ness impacting this recap.

You're telling me this is still inside the PLANE? *cries in poor*

So if you’re going to watch the video that’s something you have to look forward to.

We then see her about to get into a Tesla (I think) but she doesn’t— She gets into a Range Rover instead (I think) I’m not good with cars but it has lots of buttons so... expensive. Just when I was trying to wrap my head around this plot twist, the clip cuts to her inside the car.

I think Kendall is driving, and Kylie's in the passenger seat. Suddenly the video cuts again to them approaching some excitedly screaming friends sitting in what looks like a really large golf buggy (it's definitely not a golf buggy but as mentioned before, there are some things that my below-average-income brain can't comprehend).

The golf buggy that's not a golf buggy is so big it doesn't even fit the frame 🙃

And that's where the TikTok ends.

I would like to say that it was an artistic choice to end on a weird-looking mode of transport but I just know she got bored and wanted to have fun with her friends. If that was my "day in the life", I'd be doing the same. #goals.
