Nursing is not a family friendly career, I did my degree as a solo mum of 2, I’m now a mum to 5 and working in community nursing where I was lucky enough to get a job mon-fri as I could not juggle 5 kids and shift work. Sometimes we make sacrifices for our families but there is nothing to stop her going back and studying when her kids are older.
I had actual twins and a baby 14 months apart. The first 3-4 years were a blur. I’m only just coming up for air now at 5,5&4.
To all the comments about the reckless trace, I distinctly remember March as we had my bil here from the UK, there was no way of knowing what was going to happen. We are thinking back to this time having just been through a pandemic and lockdown, this has never occurred before, they had no way of knowing. My bil returned to the UK just before travel restrictions came into play, afterwards we realised how dicey it was for him to be travelling but at the time it was business as usual. They had no warning and no way of knowing how it was going to pan out. I have so much compassion for this family. Hope you get home!
