Get the police involved. He will have to leave not you. Keep yourself safe, this escalation is dangerous and your children will end up growing up without a mother. I grew up in a house with domestic violence, I feel deep resentment to my mother that she didn’t leave and us children experienced such a horrible childhood. Yes we may have been poor but safe. And the modelling of relationships meant I also ended up with a violent man, the police got involved via my neighbours and guess what, he was forced to leave, the assets divided and my life is incredible. There is more to life than a man, a man isn’t a goal in life. You are on this earth once, don’t waste it in a person who clearly does not love you as much as you love him
Or maybe just two very dull celebs make a boring pair. I feel bored even writing this
@rush one day at work we counted about 40 women wearing a trench… so yes I’d say fairly popular 😂
Keep him in therapy, it’ll help xx
What beautiful writing
I died in childbirth for 7 minutes. The last thought I had was “oh this is how I die”, like a feeling of surprise and then I was gone. Life didn’t flash before my eyes and no floating, bit of a let down really
These Gen Z specific trends are all just things we did in the 90s… and looked back on pics and realised they looked shite… so you know, welcome to trend regret gen z, you’ll feel it in 8yrs
I didn’t experience sexual assault but witnessed many terrible/ weird behaviours. Older siblings smoking drugs, horror movies I was far too young to watch, parents having screaming fights. All lovely normal families as far as my parents were concerned but you never truly know what’s going on behind closed doors. I won’t let my son have sleep overs
This made me cry. I wish someone wrote this to me when I headed off on maternity leave. It’s perfect, exactly what Holli said
I wish more coats other than puffers had hoods! It rains 90% of winter in Melbourne, I need to protect my hair on the run to the school gate-car-office… and don’t suggest umbrellas they go inside out, drip water everywhere, generally an absolute pain
Omg this is horrendous, they are kids. Live your life, live in sin, what is with these celebrity kids rushing to get married. Wish we would stop with making marriage the end goal, you do not need to get married to be successful in a relationship
Ohh I have a tip re slippery soles… slice it up a bit with a knife, like a few cross, hashtag like slashes (surface level obvs). Works a treat!!
@km I don’t complain ever, fully appreciate parents that obviously don’t work full time that can assist in helping out. If things are canceled, oh well, it’s a shame for the kids but I understand everyone is in a similar boat to me. Do kids need a thousand events a year, nope, so it doesn’t matter.
Oh my gosh, how self righteous the comments are on here! Well same babe, zero volunteering on my part too. I work full time so I do not have the capacity, also no expectation of any bloody husbands to step up and assist at schools. I once got an awesome piece of advice from a lady at work “if the kids can’t see you, don’t volunteer for it. They don’t know about the committee but they do see you at sports day”.
Ahh reading the comments I’m scared to say this but I agree. My sister in law in gen x and she ticks every box above. We are on totalling different parenting levels
Also the fact you can’t lift anything other than your baby for 6 weeks, really you are pretty helpless as you also can’t drive
The vibe I got was it didn’t happen like that, she exaggerated and he was confused by her fib
@simple simon why so defensive. Your arguments are full of holes - yes it may happen to men but it’s written by a woman about her own experience. Last time I checked a curtain isn’t sound proof but the fact you got privacy for a vaccination yet a woman doesn’t for a deeply personal line of questioning is just another example of how deeply misogynistic society is. And pls never question a victim’s response to trauma. I think you should reflect on why you feel personally attacked by an article written by a stranger rather then spread vitriol
I’m currently battling my employer to give some flexibility, because I’m sorry but wfh is so much more manageable then a 1hr commute, then battling tired kids to eat/ bath/ sleep after all have had incredibly long days. These articles are unhelpful having out there when employers want workers to go back to prepandemic times and workers want the work/ life balance wfh afforded us.
Great. So majority are not changing who they are voting for. Coalition won last election so we get more of Morrisons smirk and complete disregard for women. What’s wrong with people, how many corruption scandals need to happen before we get rid of the baffoon
