There is also an interview where the interviewer compares her look to Gene Simmons and she has no idea who they are talking about. She has no idea she is pretty much in a Gene Simmons costume. Especially with all that tongue poking out

I appreciate this article, I do suggest one additional shift in thinking. Instead of “We do not comment on women's bodies and faces.” I think it would lead to more well rounded body positivity for all if it was “We do not comment on people’s bodies and faces.” These issues are not limited to one gender. Watching a show my mum commented on super talented a male performers “chubby legs” and I was like, “there’s that message again I’ve been trying so hard to delete from my brain (as a female). My mother in law told her son recently his was getting a bit of a belly - in front of our young daughter. I was livid. All comments matter, about everyone.

I’m trying to find the right words. I appreciate the mothers attempt to be honest about her feelings. However the next step is definitely some talk therapy to discuss her feelings. Because her attitude is extremely damaging to her children, both the boy and the girls. “No body is perfect… these is all that’s wrong with my son”. Child pick up on these attitudes even when parents think they don’t say anything wrong. Your children need to feel that you see them as beautiful people, that they have value and that they are not required to compensate for anything. That you love them unconditionally. Your children are going to have some serious mental health problems if you don’t address your current disappointment with their appearance. Clearly it’s a generational issue as your mother comments on your girls inheritance of their great aunts genes, like it’s some kind of disaster. Your attitude about their appearance is beyond toxic. children deserve unconditional love.

Deadnaming is the act of referring to a transgender or non-binary person by a name they used prior to transitioning. It’s not the done thing Mamamia. Please correct your article

@cat yes it was three weeks and my industry was shut for those 3 weeks, but the business momentum was considerably effected and consequently it resulted in 4 weeks at 30% of my usuals income

This is a total slap in the face to anyone in Victoria who suffered huge income loss in the last lockdown I personally lost significant income over a 4 week period and I’m still slowly building my business back to the momentum it had prior to lockdown. I received nothing from the government in terms of financial support as I have more than $10000 in savings, as my partner and I are saving for a house... What’s more, they aren’t even in full lockdown. It is so offensive and infuriating
