The next stage of Sophie Turner and Joe Jonas' relationship has been released in court documents.

It's been a few months since we've heard anything from Sophie Turner and Joe Jonas regarding their divorce.

Now this week, new details of their custody arrangements have emerged as per court records obtained by TMZ. Turner has dropped her child abduction claims against Jonas, asking a judge overseeing the former couple's divorce to dismiss the claim.

Back in September, Turner filed a lawsuit in New York City against Jonas for the "wrongful retention" of their two kids. The duo have two daughters together - Willa, three, and Delphine, one.

Her lawsuit was just weeks after Jonas filed for divorce, following four years of marriage.

Turner said they agreed during Christmas 2022 that they would make the UK their "forever home" and would begin looking for schools for their oldest daughter, Willa. Turner then claimed that following their split, Jonas withheld their daughters' passports so they couldn't leave the US.

"Based on the Father's express statements that he will not return the children to England and will not return the children's passports to the Mother, on September 20, 2023, the Mother has submitted her Hague Convention Application for Return to the Central Authority for England & Wales seeking the return of the children to England," the lawsuit read.

"The Father has prevented the children's return to England, which is a breach of the Mother's rights of custody under English law, England being the children's habitual residence."

In response, Jonas' lawyer said he was vying for shared parenting, pushing for the kids to be raised both in the US and the UK.

His lawyer added in a statement: "This is an unfortunate legal disagreement about a marriage that is sadly ending. When language like 'abduction' is used, it is misleading at best, and a serious abuse of the legal system at worst."

Now months later with Turner filing for the claim to be dropped, the judge is yet to do so, but it is likely it will be.

According to all reports the pair have been engaging in co-parenting and working towards a temporary custody agreement. And court documents, first obtained by People, confirmed that Turner and Jonas have agreed on the movements of their children for the next few months.

Each parent has been designated blocks with their children through to late January. During this time they can travel freely, meaning Turner can take them back to England, which she has argued is their main home, when they are with her.

Their lawyers said the duo had "a productive mediation" back in October.

Court filings from Turner's lawyer called the mediation "ongoing and productive" and that the custody sharing comes "in anticipation of an amicable resolution of all issues".

It comes following reports that Turner has moved on romantically.

She's in a relationship with Peregrine John Dickinson Pearson - a British aristocrat whose family is worth £224 million (AU$429m), according to The Sun. He is heir of the 4th Viscount Cowdray, and he recently split from King Charles' goddaughter, model Princess Maria-Olympia of Greece and Denmark.

Jonas is said to be dating American model Stormi Bree.

As for what caused the split with Jonas, Turner has alleged that the breakdown of their marriage happened "very suddenly" after an argument on August 15 - Jonas' birthday - with Jonas filing for divorce on September 5 after days of speculation by media and fans.

She supposedly learned about their split "through the media".

Jonas' camp claimed that the reason behind the breakup was that Turner had been "out partying too much", leaving him alone to look after their daughters.

Turner and Jonas then announced their separation in a joint Instagram statement in September.

"After four wonderful years of marriage we have mutually decided to amicably end our marriage," the statement read. "There are many speculative narratives as to why but truly this is a united decision and we sincerely hope that everyone can respect our wishes for privacy for us and our children."
